Situated in the heart of Dublin's museum and
gallery district, Oisín Gallery profiles contemporary paintings and
sculpture by established and emerging artists - both Irish &
international. Focusing on contemporary figurative, still life and
realism, the gallery also exhibits abstract and surreal works. Many of the
gallery's artists are represented in public, corporate and private
collections.
First established in
1978, the gallery is located on Westland Row, in the heart of Dublin's
museum district. The ambience of the space is one which combines the old
and the new, with the gallery’s heritage street frontage, and its more
contemporary interior, with split-level display area and courtyard.
The gallery’s priority has been to
encourage and launch the careers of many established & emerging talents,
such as Ronan Goti, Katy Simpson, Katherine Liddy, Alan Kenny, Gerard M. Burns, Thomas Halloran
& Tina Spratt, whilst also dealing in significant Irish paintings and
sculpture by artists such as Louis le Brocquy HRHA, John Behan RHA, John Shinnors, Cecil Maguire, John Skelton & Liam O’Neill.
Exhibitions & events are mounted every
four to six weeks and two annual group shows are held in June & November.
